Welcome to Kids Voting Mesa County

Kids Voting Mesa County is a nonprofit, nonpartisan grassroots organization dedicated to educating young people in Kinder-garten through 12th grades about the significance of an informed electorate and about the importance of voting to sustain our democracy.

We introduce voting and civic involvement to students while they are young, and work toward our goal of creating educated, active citizens who fulfill their civic duty and vote. Kids Voting employs two separate, but equally important means by which to reach this goal: education and the election. The Kids Voting USA classroom activities educate students about the principles of democratic living and the importance of citizen involvement in a democracy. The election allows students a “real life” opportunity to put those principles into action and be part of a positive voting experience.
